Ball Games, Barnes

The annual Ball Games on Barnes Common, followed by a BBQ back at the flat.

Ball Games

The ball games and a social picnic will take place from about 1pm in a small out of the way corner of Barnes Common, just North East of the Station. Bring something to drink, and any food that you might require to survive an afternoon of running around. The Putney flat recommends bottles of rose wine to make the afternoon feel like summer...

In the event of inclement weather, rain does not usually stop play! We will still be there, but hiding beneath large umbrellas. Occasional forays will be made out into the weather as batting dictates, usually such forays are accompanied by suitably manic laughter.

Beyond

It has almost become tradition that "South Park the Movie" is viewed, complete with subtitles to allow everyone to sing along. For those that feel intimidated, the script can be found here and will allow you to familiarise yourself with the subject matter, although it should be noted that it is an early version of the script and some of the song lyrics are quite considerably different in the majority of cases.
