June 28th 2004 - Rose Joints again...

After picking up a forked rose joint extraction tool from Halfords over the weekend, had to return again to obtain the screwed lever type since the forked one wasn't working.

Finally managed to get the steering joints dismantled, then got the steering rack itself off of the assembly. Removed the anti-roll bar and the stabilisers. Finally got the right hand upright completely out, however I'm having problems getting the bottom rose joint out. I can't get the lever type dismantler onto it and it's not popping out using the forked extraction tool.

Intention tomorrow is to get the upper and lower suspension arms off of the main frame and start cleaning everything up ready for painting. It shouldn't take too long since the left hand side has already been partially dismantled whilst trying to get the upright free.

Got through to LC Developments to order the various parts, am awaiting a final price. The wing could probably be done by the end of next week, although I would have to pick everything up myself since they can't risk sending the bonnet halves via courier for fear of them turning up flat packed...
