Tried to add some additional fixing points to the engine bay sidewall, namely two taped holes into the upright diagonal to hold that section of the sheet firm. Managed to get the hole drilled into the upper point on the upright, but can't get the tap started without taking the entire sheet out, therefore gave up for the moment. However using the angle adaptor it was possible to drill the final two holes to attach the side wall to the wing. It might be possible to do the bottom hole from underneath if the car is jacked up, but it is too grey a morning and threaten to rain.
Decided instead to drill the holes into the front suspension assembly that are used to the secure the bottom of the frame that supports the radiator. Used a small drill bit and the angle attachment to drill in from the wheel side. Once the pilot hole had been drilled a larger drill could be sent through from the opposite side where the access is easier.
Straightened out the backing plates for the driving lamps using the vice so that they are ready to assemble onto the top section of the bumper mountings.
The weather finally set in and had to abandon work for the day.
