May 6th 2005 - First good run

The first chance for a run at speed since all of last Friday's work. A bit stuttery getting up the hill, but taht is to be expected since the engine hadn't had a chance to warm up. Out on the A3 we hit 60, without any resonance in the steering. Swapping the spare tyre in and tightening up some of the steering bolts seems to have cleared everything up.

Still a little concerned that one of the steering bolts had got so loose. Picked up a thread guage and thread locking solution from Belton & Slade in Wandsworth in case it works loose again.

Finally ound the stray piece of carpet that was needed to finish reassembly of the interior. Also a bit of work straightening up the wing mirrors.

A quick peek into the engine bay show's that the path on the piping for the oil pressure guage is leaking. It'll have to be replaced fairly soon. Hopefully I'll be able to pick some tubing up when I put an order in for a replacement indicator switch.
