The 'Big Red' project has been gestating in the back of my mind for the past 15 months. The premise is fairly simple, 'Buy a bus, convert it into a motor home, go on holiday'.
The majority of the old 'Routemaster' London buses are being decomissioned and sold off, therefore it has to be done now. Why a 'Routemaster'? Because it's shape and design are instantly recognisable as a London bus. Because it is big and red. Because I'm nostalgic and like older things.
Who gets to be Cliff Richard. Neither my friends or I are particularly noted for our singing or dancing ability, you certainly wouldn't want to pay good money to watch us act up. Whilst the urge to whilst the tune 'Summer Holiday' may well prove irresistable at times, singing is definitely prohibited.
